Thompsons Restaurant is a contemporary ‘open kitchen’ restaurant in Newport that is helmed by award-winning Chef Robert Thompson. The restaurant serves three menus – a seasonal set menu, an a la carte menu and a special tasting menu, all of which feature chef-inspired cuisine accompanied by fine wines from around the world. Signature dishes include croquettes of braised ox tongue with pickled heritage carrots, risotto of beetroot and granny smith apple with salt baked beets, grilled fillet of sea bream with nage of local tomatoes, nasturtium, and almond pesto, and roasted breast of corn-fed chicken with roasted chicken vinaigrette. Thompsons Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday.
