Review & FAQ:
Undoubtedly one of the most unique museums in the area, the Internationales Maskenmuseum houses the world's largest collection of authentic masks from cultures all across the world. There are approximately 9,000 masks in the museum, some of which are hundreds of years old, and they're made of a variety of different materials, including cloth, wood, and clay. In addition to the permanent mask exhibition, the museum also offers excellent temporary exhibitions about various aspects of world culture and history. The museum can only be visited by appointment, and the price of admission includes a guided tour.
