Birdfoot Festival is the annual New Orleans’ International Chamber Music Festival recognized for its unique approach and “youthful, rule-bending style.” The festival brings together artists and audiences to create and experience live chamber music. Its lively performances connect classic masterpieces with contemporary sounds. Every year in May for the last eight seasons, Birdfoot has presented more than 20 concerts and events in venues all over the city, attracting artists and visitors from all over the world. In addition to the annual festival, Birdfoot hosts artist residencies and music performances throughout the year. Its Young Artist Program provides an opportunity for young music students to stretch their musical talents through intensive coaching, workshops, and classes led by world-renowned musicians.
