Red Sand Beach is a unique little pocket beach which you will find on the eastern coast of Maui Island. What makes this beach stand out from the rest of Hawaii’s beaches is that it is one of the few genuine red sand beaches in the world, which makes it really stand out against the deep blue waters of Kaihalulu Bay. You will need to make an effort to reach this protected little cove – it can only be reached on foot along a rather dangerous ridge along the top of a cliff. You need to bring everything you need for a pleasant beach day with you and be prepared to encounter nudists enjoying the solitude of Red Sand Beach.
