Review:

There is more to Alcatraz Island than meets the eye.

Besides being the site of the infamous federal penitentiary that was off-limits to the public for so long, the island was also the site of the first American lighthouse, the first American fort on the West Coast, the place occupied by the "Indians of All Tribes" for 18 months in 1969, but also the place with wonderful tide pools, gardens, bird colonies, and a stunning view of the Bay you cannot have from anywhere else.

The best way to explore the famous penitentiary is by taking The Alcatraz Cellhouse Audio Tour, which covers the interior of the cellhouse.
