The Commander’s Beach House is within easy walking distance of Port Townsend attractions, including restaurants, shops, and the Marine Science Center. The 1934 home is right along the beach, affording guests stunning views and easy access to the water. Each of the four guestrooms has its own theme, such as lighthouses or sunflowers. Some have adjoining rooms for a third guest, Queen Anne chairs, large closets, a table with seating for two, and fireplaces. Two of the rooms can also be combined to create a suite for larger groups.
Guests will enjoy sitting in front of a fireplace in the living room or relaxing in the gardens. You can sit on the verandah any time of the day, including during breakfast. Mornings promise a gourmet breakfast at individual tables overlooking Mount Baker, Point Wilson lighthouse, and Whidbey Island.
