Harbor serenity at Friday Harbor House

We took the ferry from Anacortes, gliding past forested islands and open stretches of water for just over an hour before pulling into Friday Harbor.

Friday Harbor House had one of the most peaceful views I’ve ever woken up to, boats bobbing quietly in the marina, sea birds dipping low, and the horizon tinged with pastel light. The room was modern and inviting, and the island felt like a private world.

Friday Harbor House is one of my absolute favorite boutique hideaways—a true gem perched atop a bluff overlooking the tranquil marina and ferry landing of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.
