The Mackey House is a historic farmhouse located on an old plantation in Savannah. The site has an interesting history as it was an encampment for Confederate soldiers at one point and was later occupied by troops from the Union army. The land was later named Red Gate Farms. Today the home is open for tours and also hosts private events. The main house has a 4,000-square-foot deck, which can be used for events. There is also an idyllic pond-side area that can be used for a ceremony or reception space as well as beautiful gardens that have an adjacent outdoor pavilion that is able to host events all year round.
