Review:

The Old Government House, commonly referred to as the Old Richmond County Courthouse, was the former seat of the Augusta government between 1801 and 1821 and remains one of the city's oldest preserved historic buildings. Today, it is open to the public for private special event rentals, including wedding ceremonies and receptions. The venue is a great choice for couples looking for a classic venue with grand historic flair, especially couples with smaller guest lists, as the venue can only hold up to 77 guests seated or 200 standing. Tables and chairs are available for inside guest use, along with a prep kitchen that can accommodate caterers of couples' choice. Outside, a spacious front garden area makes for a perfect spot for saying vows outside, with in-house photography sessions available Mondays through Thursdays during business hours.
