Boathouse Community Center is a beautiful August community center space overlooking the banks of the pristine Savannah River, featuring panoramic views throughout that are sure to make a wonderful backdrop for ceremonies and receptions. Couples can rent the facility for the day and enjoy use of its main hall space, which features access to an adjacent wraparound deck perfect for wedding photos. A prep kitchen is available for caterers of couples' choice, along with a full bar for whatever beverage vendors couples select for their reception. A DJ booth is also offered, along with a stage area for ceremonies or live music performances. Up to 250 people can be seated within the hall, with tables and chairs available as part of all special event rentals.

3. Enterprise Mill Events Center

Enterprise Mill Events Center is a beautiful full-service event center located adjacent to the historic Enterprise Mill in Augusta's lovely downtown district. A number of facilities are available for rental throughout the center, including its main banquet hall, which can host up to 250 seated guests inside and an additional 250 guests outside in courtyard tents. A courtyard gazebo is a popular spot for outdoor wedding ceremonies and photography, especially beloved as a spot for spring and autumn weddings. Other spaces include a cafe room which can be used for small receptions or bridal dressing. Full-service catering is available for all events, along with unique package offerings like boat rides along the beautiful adjacent Augusta Canal.

4. Julian Smith Casino

Julian Smith Casino is one of Augusta's most unique event venues, located within the city's Lake Olmstead Park within a beautiful grove of Southern magnolia and pine trees. The venue is not a casino in the modern sense of a gambling establishment, but rather a community gathering and recreational space according to the traditional European definition of the word. It is named in honor of former Augusta Mayor Julian Smith and can host up to 350 guests for wedding ceremonies and receptions. A spacious main hall features pine hardwood floors and stunning palladium windows opening out over panoramic views of the lake. Full patio and bar spaces are available for event use, along with a prep kitchen for catering services of couples' choice.

5. The Marbury Center

The Marbury Center offers an alternative to traditional wedding venues, housed within Augusta's historic original fire department headquarters, which were constructed in the late 1890s and remained in service through the 1970s. Today, the fire station has been completely restored as one of Augusta's premiere special event venues, conveniently located within the city's downtown district close to many nightlife and dining destinations. Couples can rent the venue's spacious main hall for ceremonies, receptions, rehearsals, or bachelor and bachelorette parties, which accommodates up to 300 guests and features ample natural lighting and neutral decor. A beautiful outdoor courtyard is also available for outdoor festivities, overlooking two historic horse stable facilities and featuring an outdoor dance floor area.

6. The Marion Hatcher Center

The Marion Hatcher Center is housed within a gorgeous 1835 three-story Georgian-style mansion in Augusta that was originally constructed as the private residence of John Phinizy, a wealthy 19th-century merchant and businessman. During the late 20th century, the home was meticulously renovated and transformed into a private special event center, which is available for use for ceremonies, receptions, and other wedding festivities. Gorgeous Antebellum-style architecture and decor makes for a grand setting within the home's lovely main house spaces, including a handsomely-decorated library, a full working kitchen, and a Rose Room that can serve as a bridal suite. Outside, perfectly-manicured gardens feature a fountain, two gazebos, and lovely concrete benches, making for great opportunities for unique wedding photography. Up to 300 guests can be housed at the facility's interior and exterior spaces.

7. The Old Government House

The Old Government House, commonly referred to as the Old Richmond County Courthouse, was the former seat of the Augusta government between 1801 and 1821 and remains one of the city's oldest preserved historic buildings. Today, it is open to the public for private special event rentals, including wedding ceremonies and receptions. The venue is a great choice for couples looking for a classic venue with grand historic flair, especially couples with smaller guest lists, as the venue can only hold up to 77 guests seated or 200 standing. Tables and chairs are available for inside guest use, along with a prep kitchen that can accommodate caterers of couples' choice. Outside, a spacious front garden area makes for a perfect spot for saying vows outside, with in-house photography sessions available Mondays through Thursdays during business hours.
