Rousakis Plaza (Riverfront) is a great place to head to on a pleasant day. You can take a walk along the half-mile plaza to admire the historic buildings which line the riverfront or grab a seat at one of the many waterfront restaurants and settle in to watch the world go by. There are always plenty of ships coming and going along river (Savannah is a very busy seaport). Shopping is great along Rousakis Plaza and you can visit some very unusual shops including the Peanut Store and the famous Riverside Sweets, which is rumored to stock some of the best pralines in the state.
