Your visit to Mount Dora would be incomplete without attending a concert or other performance in the Mount Dora Community Building. A prominent Mount Dora landmark, the Building was built in the Mediterranean Revival Style back in the late 1920’s. The building was financed entirely by the community and when it opened in 1929 it provided an entertainment venue which had a seat for each and every community member. For many centuries the community building has been the primary performance venue in the town and after a further community-sponsored renovation in 2009, locals and visitors can once again be proud of their landmark building which is considered to be the “Best Concert Venue” in Lake County.
