The land that Macfarlane Park sits on was donated to the city in 1908, and it's been a favorite destination with West Tampa families and seniors ever since. There are two children's playgrounds in the park: a smaller section with swings and a larger one with exciting musical sculptures and climbing structures. A paved trail just over a mile in length runs around the perimeter of the park and is open only to pedestrians. The park also offers several picnic shelters, tennis and racquetball courts, a large grassy area perfect for playing sports, and public restrooms and water fountains.
