The park is known for being a peaceful haven from the city, and it features a scenic overlook offering excellent views of the water, a plaza honoring American veterans, and a ceremonial space with a metal sculpture designed to serve as a memorial to the Seminole Indian Wars. However, there is also a shady children's play area with a playground, a small splash park, and plenty of seating areas for parents to relax while their children play.
