Uptown Art Gallery is Brooksville's premiere art gallery, housed within the town's City Hall building and open to the public for free admission Mondays through Fridays. The gallery, which was established in 1998 in conjunction with the Hernando Fine Arts Council, is best known as the home of the 22-block Hernando Heritage Quilt, which showcases panels depicting important events and themes in the county's history. Rotating art exhibitions are showcased throughout the year, highlighting the works of regional artists and groups working in a wide variety of art and crafting mediums. Many art pieces are for sale by artists. Special event receptions are held throughout the year, which are also free and open to the public.
