The Simpson Park Hammock is park in the heart of Miami, Florida consisting of a tropical hardwood hammock. The park includes a visitor center that provides information about Simpson Park, as well as the surrounding area. The Simpson Park Hammock is a nature preserve and urban park encompassing almost eight acres between the neighborhoods of The Roads and Brickell. Nine different threatened species of plants and fifteen endangered species of plants call Simpson Park home. Simpson Park is referred to as a “passive park” or urban wild park, home to remnants of the local ecology of the region in a highly developed area.
