Dry Tortugas National Park is located 68 miles west of Key West and protects seven Dry Tortuga Islands, the most isolated of the Florida Keys, and Fort Jefferson. Set in the Gulf of Mexico, Dry Tortugas National Park has pristine coral reefs, beautiful white sandy beaches, an abundance of sea life, large breeding grounds for tropical birds, and legends of shipwrecks and sunken treasures.

The park offers a variety of activities, including camping, picnicking, snorkeling and scuba diving, fishing, canoeing and kayaking, and birdwatching. Dry Tortugas National Park is only accessible by boat or seaplane and is part of the Everglades and Dry Tortugas Biosphere Reserve.
