Best Things to Do in Titusville, FL

If you've ever wanted front-row seats to rocket launches, wildlife, and endless sunshine, I can tell you Titusville, Florida is the place to go. I’ve spent time on the Space Coast, and Titusville really surprised me. It mixes natural beauty with serious space-age wonder. Whether you’re standing on the shoreline for a liftoff or quietly paddling past manatees, you’ll find adventure here with a chill, coastal vibe that I think you'll love.

Titusville, FL Highlights:

  • Visit Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex — I spent an entire day here and barely scratched the surface. You can walk beneath massive rockets, meet real astronauts, and dive deep into NASA’s past and future. If you’re even slightly curious about space, you’ll geek out like I did.
  • Catch a rocket launch from Space View Park — I still get goosebumps thinking about it. You can sit right by the river and feel the ground shake during a launch. It’s an experience I’d recommend to anyone—especially if you're lucky to catch one at night.
  • Explore Canaveral National Seashore — When I needed a quiet beach escape, this was my go-to. You’ll find long stretches of untouched sand, dunes, and maybe even nesting sea turtles if you're there at the right time.
  • Hike or bike the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge — I brought my bike and spotted alligators, herons, and even a few manatees. Whether you're driving Black Point Wildlife Drive or hitting the trails, it’s peaceful and full of surprises.
  • Wander Historic Downtown Titusville — I loved strolling through the little shops and checking out the murals. It has that old-Florida charm with a fun space theme woven in. If you’re into museums and local flavor, you’ll feel right at home.

Best Time to Visit Titusville, FL

From my experience, the best time to go is November through April. I visited in the winter and the weather was perfect—comfortable temps, fewer mosquitoes, and several launch opportunities. If you don’t mind the heat, summer brings beach days and a better chance to see manatees, especially around the warm-water spots.

How to Get to Titusville, FL

  • By car — I drove in from Orlando and it was a quick 40-minute trip on I-95. You can also get there easily from Daytona Beach if you're already exploring the coast.
  • By air — I flew into Orlando International Airport (MCO), which is about 45 to 50 minutes away. From there, renting a car is the best option to explore Titusville at your own pace.
  • By train or bus — I checked into Amtrak but learned Titusville isn’t directly served. If you’re relying on public transit, you can still catch a regional shuttle or bus from Orlando, but I’d say having your own car makes a big difference here.

Where to Stay in Titusville, FL

  • Hyatt Place Titusville / Kennedy Space Center — I stayed here once for a launch trip, and the rocket views were unreal. It’s modern, comfy, and close to all the action. Plus, breakfast was a solid bonus.
  • Casa Coquina Bed & Breakfast — If you’re into quirky and cozy, this B&B is full of personality. I loved the river views and how the themed rooms made it feel extra special. The hosts were super welcoming too.
  • Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott — On a family trip, this place worked out great. It’s reliable, centrally located, and ideal if you’re in town for a launch or just want a solid place to relax after exploring.
