Review:

The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is unique to the Munising, Michigan area and one of the region’s largest summer attractions. The lakeshore gets its name of “Pictured Rocks” from the mineral strain streaks on the weather-sculpted cliff faces. A variety of colors occur on the cliffs when groundwater flows through the cracks and then trickles down the rocks. The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is open to visitors during all seasons and is a great destination for recreation activities, such as hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, birding, sightseeing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, and 12 miles of beaches.
