Review:
Located on Second Street in the historic area of downtown Charlottesville, the McGuffey Art Center is an art school that houses studios for artists and artisans and is open to the public for art exhibits and lectures. New exhibitions open the first Friday of every month. Some of the many exhibitions include “Kim Kelley-Wagner - Something Forgotten,” and “Central Virginia Watercolor Guild’s Annual Exhibition,” among others.
Visitors are welcome to walk into the various artist studios and watch the artists at work. The center also offers group tours, performances, and outreach projects, including classes for children, teens, and adults. The classes are available for individuals and also for groups.
