The Ice Age National Scenic Trail is a seasonally changing 1,200-mile trail that stretches across the state of Wisconsin in all four directions. The trail was established in 1980 and traces the edge of what was once a massive glacier, featuring trailheads and access points along the route.

The Ice Age Trail provides visitors an opportunity to enjoy an array of outdoor activities, such as hiking and backpacking, hunting and fishing, wildlife and bird watching, camping, stargazing and cross-country skiing.

There are several interpretive centers along the trail that delve into the glacial history and geology of Wisconsin and offer visitors an informative and entertaining indoor activity to enjoy.
