Located on Elm Street in Greensboro, at the site of the original 1960’s peaceful Sit-Ins, which sparked a nation-wide movement to define Civil Rights and achieve social justice across the country, the International Civil Rights Center and Museum is essential viewing for all visitors to Greensboro.
To fully understand the complexity of the struggle for equality and justice in U.S. history, visitors are recommended to join the 90 min Civil Rights Museum Legacy Tour, which includes filmed content and walk-through the Museum’s exhibits. Permanent museum exhibits include the original lunch counter where the Sit-Ins took place and the 13 interactive Battleground Exhibits.
