Tootsies Orchid Lounge is an iconic Nashville country music lounge located across the alley from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium.
Established in 1960, this famous lounge and watering hole has hosted some big names such as Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson while they were young and unknown artists. Tootsie, the owner, was known for her support and generosity toward young struggling musicians. The funky lavender color of the building started as a painter’s mistake but is now part of Tootsie’s image.
The space inside is cozy, with a large stage that dominate the place and walls covered with photos and memorabilia, painting the whole history of this iconic spot. There are live bands playing every night to the full house on one of the three patios.
