The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum is a great introduction to two of the important seafaring industries that have allowed the Gulf Coast to thrive over the years. The exhibits on display at the museum are richly curated and diverse in nature, covering topics such as shell fishing and accompanying pursuits like net repair, shrimp peeling, recreational fishing, and marine protection and conservation. In addition to these exhibits, the museum features a maritime-themed art gallery and a spacious theater. Two full-size replica Biloxi Schooners often traverse the waters just outside the museum, and special events such as the museum’s signature Sea-and-Sail camps and boat shows take place regularly.
