Review:

Harold Warp grew up dirt poor in a sod house. He scrabbled hard and eventually became a millionaire manufacturing plastic. He never forgot his roots and wanted to sharehis classic American story of rags to riches, so he decided to create a Pioneer Village, a replica of Minden, the town in which he grew up. He bought a number of local historic buildings including a church and a one-room schoolhouse, moved them to the current location and,in 1953,he opened this living museum.

He filled the various buildings with period furniture and artifacts and which look and feel like they are in a time warp. Today, The Pioneer Village contains 28 buildings on 20 acres of land. Each building has a collection with a specific focus, such as automobiles, industrial items or furniture.
