Seasonally open from Memorial Day through September, the Moffat Road Railway Museum is well-worth a visit for anyone passing through Granby. The museum preserves and showcases several pieces of vintage railway equipment (in various stages of restoration). These include a 1905 Vermont Passenger Car, 2 cabooses, a 1922 locomotive and a 1915 railroad shed. Besides the mentioned exhibits, the museum has a wonderful model railway layout with 5 trains running through a beautifully constructed landscape complete with tunnels, bridges, road and even a ski mountain with chairlifts. After you have toured the museum you can visit the gift shop which stocks a range of model trains.
