The Bookworm of Edwards is a lively locally owned independent bookstore located in the Riverwalk Shopping Center in Edwards, Colorado. The Bookworm started its life in 1996 in a retrofitted van that went between coffee shops throughout the Valley selling books to communities without access to bookstores. In 1997 Bookworm opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in a 700-square-foot store in Edwards Village Center, before moving to its current home in 2007. The Bookworm organizes frequent new book signings and other book-related events, as well as children-literacy programs that include book clubs and writing contests. The shop also donates books to schools, senior groups, and jails.
