Review:
Freeport’s Rand Memorial Nature Center consists of approximately 100 acres of scenic nature. Trails wind their way through exotic and native coppice, pine barrens, and make their way to a native plant arboretum and watchable freshwater wildlife pond. Benches and secluded areas can be found along the way. Inside the center are an art gallery and an exhibit room. There’s a collection of sea shells and natural history exhibits covering topics like island ecology and geology. A broad variety of native flora can be found at Rand Memorial Nature Center, and guided tours help highlight plants of the Bahamas and their uses.
