The Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso is a magnificent neo-baroque building located across the street from Parque Central in the Paseo del Prado in Havana. It was built and financed by Galician refugees as the Galician Centre of Havana, and it opened its doors in 1915. The theatre is home to the world-famous Ballet Nacional de Cuba, which was founded by Alicia Alonso in 1948, as well as to the Cuban National Opera.

In the building are also the stately Teatro García Lorca and two concert halls: The Sala Ernesto Lecuona and the Sala Alejo Carpentier. There is also a small art gallery, screening rooms, conference rooms, and rehearsal rooms for various dance groups. The theatre hosts the annual International Ballet Festival of Havana.
