Cap-Saint-Jacques Nature Park is located on a peninsula at the western tip of Montreal Island and is surrounded by shoreline on three sides. Easily accessible from the city, the park offers a perfect green space where city-dwellers can come to relax and recharge. There is a supervised beach which is very popular in summer and a wide variety of water sports are on offer, including kayaking, sailing, kite-surfing and paddle-boarding. Hikers will find 16 km of scenic trails and fishing and bird-watching are other popular summer activities. In winter people come to the park for cross-country skiing, walking, snow-shoeing, tobogganing and more.
