Review:

Modeled after the ever-so-popular supper clubs of the 1950s, Moody's Bistro & Lounge lives inside of the historic Truckee Hotel and welcomes guests seven days a week. This fine dining establishment draws heavily on mountain inspired cuisine, specializing in dishes like ahi poke, braised lamb shanks, wild game, and fresh seafood. Moody’s is well known locally for its cocktail menu and often fills up on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings when there is live music in the bar. The Truckee Hotel was originally built in 1873 by John F. Moody, and the modern bistro and lounge takes its name and inspiration from John Moody’s love for jazz music and mountain cuisine.
