Goosewing Beach Preserve is one of Rhode Islands’ most significant landmarks. This lovely beach is a one-of-a-kind combination of sand dunes, barriers, and ponds, creating a spectacular beach that many tourists visit throughout the year. Besides its beauty, its significance lies in two critical species of bird that inhabit the beach – the endangered piping plover and the rare least tern.
For the past twenty years, the Nature Conservancy has been taking care of all the species in this area with the help of donors. Field trips and sightseeing are available throughout the year.
