The Natural Bridge State Resort Park is named after what it is most famed for, a natural sandstone arch bridge that spans 78 feet and is 65 feet high. The bridge was formed over millions of years by the natural process of weathering and is a stunning sight to behold.

One of the most unique sandstone rock formations on the bridge is Balanced Rock, which is a block of sandstone balanced on the edge of a cliff. There are over 20 miles of trails for visitors to explore, including Henson's Cave Arch, White's Branch Arch, Fat Man's Squeeze, and other scenic areas.
