Known for their simple southern seafood, the Original Oyster House has been serving locals and visitors since 1983, making it one of the longest-running seafood restaurants in South Alabama. You can find the restaurant on Pleasure Island’s boardwalk which is one of the oldest specialty shopping centers in the area. The 300-seater restaurant serves everything from homemade seafood gumbo and delicious alligator bites to southern fried flounder and bourbon grilled chicken breasts. Their ‘create your own platter’ option is extremely popular with patrons and lets you pair from a number of diner favorites.
