Review:

In the town of Cherokee, North Carolina, on the Eastern Cherokee Reservation, the same play has been in production for almost 70 years.

In 1950, Unto These Hills was first performed to tell the true story of the Trail of Tears, a horrific and bloody march in which thousands of Native Americans were forced from their homes to relocate further west.

The play is incredibly impactful and is performed at the beautiful Mountainside Theatre, an outdoor amphitheater, every night during the summer.

Visitors to Cherokee can also enjoy many of the other attractions in town, such as the shops and museums that celebrate Cherokee culture and history.
