Review:

Cherokee, North Carolina, is a town located within the Eastern Cherokee Reservation. Inside the town is Oconaluftee Indian Village, where visitors will be transported back to the 18th century to experience life as the Cherokee tribe once lived it.

With the help of a guide, guests will walk the paths of the village through dwellings, ritual areas, and more while learning about the traditions and culture of the Cherokee people.

Visitors can watch traditional dances, see villagers engaged in age-old crafts such as canoe-making and basket weaving, and witness a blowgun demonstration. The Oconaluftee Indian Village is open Monday through Saturday from April until November.
