February Travel Destinations
February is a great time for romantic getaways, golf trips and healing spa trips. Choose from tropical destinations, warm-weather getaways such as Arizona and Florida, or visit New Zealand and Australia in the Southern Hemisphere.
New Zealand in February
Lake Okareka Lodge is a beautiful getaway for couples who enjoy natural surroundings and five star service. From a personal chef who is available to prepare your meals, to luxury suites with lake views, the lodge is an unforgettable experience. Also in New Zealand, Cape Kidnappers is a famous destination where you can play golf with ocean views.
Golfers have several great destinations to choose from, including many golf resorts with spas, so if your partner is not a golfer, you can both enjoy the trip in your own way. JW Marriott Starr Pass, Loews Ventana Canyon and The Phoenician are all very good choices.
Travel to the Pacific
Beach resorts in Tahiti are not easy to get to, but once you do it's easy to immerse yourself in the tropical surroundings and forget the winter weather you left at home. Many properties offer beautiful spas that will let you relax and unwind just steps from the beach. A short plane ride from Tahiti, Bora Bora is a famous destination, home to famous luxury resorts such as Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort.
Take the family to Orlando and stay at the Royal Pacific Resort. The resort is located within walking distance of Universal Studios® and Universal's Islands of Adventure® theme parks and the Universal CityWalk® entertainment complex. Kids will love the rides and parents will love the fact that guests of the Royal Pacific Resort can use UNIVERSAL EXPRESS (SM) ride access and bypass the regular attraction lines at both theme parks.
The Royal Pacific Resort has a huge lagoon style-pool with a sand beach and a Royal Bali interactive children's water play area. The resort offers complimentary water taxi rides (the easiest way to get there) to the Universal Orlando theme parks and CityWalk entertainment complex where the kids can play all day. Since parents need vacation time as well, the resort offers The Mariner's Club supervised children's activity center. Other activities include: beach volleyball, a putting green, game room, and weekly luaus in the Wantilan Luau Pavilion
There are 1,000 rooms, including 54 suites. Consider getting a Club Level Room, which gives you private access to the Royal Club Lounge serving continental breakfast, afternoon beer, wine and snacks, concierge service, as well as unlimited use of the fitness center. The resort offers a wide range of dining options, including Emeril Lagasse's Tchoup Chop restaurant. Family vacation perks for guests include: priority seating at select Universal Orlando® restaurants and shows. You can charge purchases with your resort ID card, and because no one wants to carry bags on rides, complimentary delivery of in-park purchases to guest rooms.
Luxury travel is for pets too, winter or summer. Loews Hotels offers several "Pampered Pets" Packages at many of its hotels and resorts. Some of the Loews hotels offering the Pampered Pets package include the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, the Portofino Bay Hotel, and the Hard Rock Hotel.
