Each of the 101 rooms at the Lajitas Golf Resort is decorated in its own style, leading to 101 completely unique rooms. That being said, all of the rooms do share a central theme of the Wild West. Guests can expect such décor as wooden ceilings, brick or mortar walls, wooden bed frames of every kind, antlers and game, and many other items reminiscent of the Wild West in their rooms. Every room comes with cable TV, a clock radio, a coffee and tea maker, an iron and ironing board, an in room safe, and bottled water. Guests can also request a roll away bed or a crib to be added to their room.

The Badlands Hotel is located in Old Lajitas and has sixteen rooms in king or queen options. All rooms are located on the second floor of the hotel, and some rooms come with the option for a terrace with excellent views of Old Lajitas and the Lajitas Mesa.

The Calvary Post is located near an old US military outpost. Its twenty-six rooms are offered in deluxe king and deluxe queen options. These rooms focus on the Old West and feature décor such as cowhide rugs and wrought iron furniture. Located outside the Calvary Post is a courtyard and fountain for enjoying the Texas day. Also at Calvary Post are two cottages. The cottages feature larger bathrooms with baths and wet bars and a private outside garden with chairs for guests to enjoy the Texas air both day and night.

The suites at La Cuesta are right next to the resort’s main swimming pool and are perfect for families. The deluxe king or queen rooms come in one or two bedroom variants and feature large bathrooms with walk-in showers and wet bars.

For golf lovers, the Officer’s Quarters are nothing short of perfect, as they are ideal for those who want to quickly get back on the greens. Located right next to the Jack’s Crossing golf course, the sixteen deluxe rooms at the Officer’s Quarters feature king-sized beds, a walk-in shower, and a terrace either looking over the golf course and Lajitas Mountains or a secluded garden.

For guests seeking accommodations for larger families or groups, Lajitas Golf Resort offers a number of villas for use by guests. All villas come equipped with everything a home-away-from-home needs, including a full kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a full washer and dryer. All villas also come with a fireplace.

The Amigos House comfortable sleeps six with three full bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second room has a queen, and the third has a set of twin beds and a shuffleboard table. The Amigos House also features a sunroom, dining room, outside fire pit, and views of the nearby golf course.

The Ambush Cottage sleeps four with two bedrooms complete with king sized beds and two baths. The Ambush Cottage sits on a rise above the golf course and features views of the mountains and the Rio Grande River. It also has an outdoor patio with furniture for enjoying the views.

The Lajitas Lookout is situated in the Comanche Mesa and features décor that calls to mind a Native American pueblo. The lookout sleeps six with a master bedroom with a king sized bed and a second bedroom with three full sized beds, one being a bunk bed. The lookout also has one and a half bathrooms. The Lajitas Lookout features a great room, living room, and breakfast nook for plenty of space. A wrap around patio with fire pit is perfect for enjoying the views.

Also located in the Comanche Mesa, the Lajitas Villa is perfect for guests who are traveling with multiple adult couples or older children. The Villa sleeps six and has a master bedroom with a king-sized bed, private fireplace, and private bathroom with a whirlpool hot tub, a guest bedroom with a queen bed, and a guest cottage with its own queen bed. The wrap-around patio comes with a grill and furniture while the kitchen features a downdraught cooktop and double oven.

The Black Jack’s Crossing Golf Course opened in 2012, and it is one of the newest golf courses in Texas. Despite being a new attraction, Black Jack’s Crossing is already making a strong impression in the golfing world, ranking as the number one course in Texas in a number of magazines.

Designed by PGA champion Lanny Wadkins, the course features four tee levels for golfers of all levels, which can change the course by as much as two thousand yards. Black Jack’s Crossing is carved into the mountains and mesas surrounding the resort, which give it a very iconic look. Water traps are completely absent on the desert course, and instead ravines and sandtraps await the unprepared. The sandy paths to the different greens go through some of the best landscapes in Texas, so Black Jack’s Crossing is perfect for guests who want a truly breathtaking backdrop to their golf game.

The Pro Shop at Black Jack’s Crossing is housed in the original Lajitas Trading Post, built in 1889. From here, each golfer is equipped with a golf cart with GPS and a cooler full of water. The Pro Shop also has clubs for rent for guests who didn’t bring their own and lessons from PGA certified trainers for golfers of all levels.

The Candelilla Café is the Lajitas Golf Resort’s main restaurant and is open all day to serve up dishes from a classic Tex Mex menu. Decorated in wood, stone, and brown tiles, the Candelilla Café blends in well with the desert surroundings. The dining area features large windows so guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Lajitas Mountains and Black Jack’s Crossing golf course while they eat.

For guests who really want to enjoy the Texas landscape, the restaurant also offers an outdoor patio with a fire pit for relaxing day or night. The menu of the Candelilla Café is full of Tex Mex charm and is sure to be comfortable for everyone in the family with offerings such as enchiladas, shrimp and grits, Black and Blue NY Strip, and chicken fried steak.

The Thirsty Goat, named after the Lajitas goat that became a mayor, is the Lajitas Golf Resort bar located near the Candelilla Café, and it features many of the same marvelous views. The lounge is decorated in fine leather chairs and sofas in a dimly lit bar. The Thirsty Goat features live music in the evenings and has the same menu as the Candelilla Café.

Licha’s Bakery provides the perfect breakfast for guests wanting a quick bite before heading out for the day. Housed in an antique brick building with clay shingles, Licha’s Bakery will give any guest a sense of nostalgia. Licha’s Bakery serves coffee and a wide array of baked goods including kolaches, Danishes, turnovers, muffins, and hot cinnamon rolls.

For a memorable dinner, Lajitas Golf Resort offers a special Dining Under the Stars event. Guests are led out to the backcountry and cooked dinner in large Dutch ovens in an open fire pit. Lajitas Golf Resort is home to the Agave Spa, and as you might guess by the name, it features many treatments inspired by the desert plants native to the resort. The Agave Spa features many of the treatments guests expect with an array of massages, facials, and body treatments.

The Agave Spa features desert plants such as the agave and chaparral that can help to nourish and hydrate the body and protect them from the desert weather. One example of this is the Desert Rain Body Wrap, which uses the strong fragrance of chaparral to maximize the wrap’s healing properties. The Agave Spa also features a Golfer’s Massage for working out the tension used on the course so guests will be relaxed and ready to go the next day.

Lajitas Golf Resort’s newest attraction is the zip line course through Quiet Canyon. The canyon rises high above the canyon floor below, and guests can down through to the ground along several different zip line tour routes. It’s a great way to keep cool in the Texas heat.

The Lajitas Golf Resort features a wide variety of fun activities for guests who wish to enjoy one of Texas’ favorite pastimes. They can utilize the resorts five stands for clay shooting to practice their shotgun skills. For an Old West themed experience, guests can go on the Cowboy Action Shoot where they are led through an Old West themed town rife with targets to gun down and receive training on how to use a single-action pistol, side-by-side shotgun, and a lever-action rifle. Finally, for the true gun enthusiast, there is the Combat Course. Guests are trained on the use of 9mm pistols, AR-15s, and pump-action shotguns before being led over the terrain of the Lajitas Mountains to take out paper and steel targets.

There’s no better way to feel like a cowboy than to ride horses through the mountainous deserts of Texas, and Lajitas Golf Resort offers plenty of options to do just that. They provide riding lessons, clinics, and trail rides, which can be arranged by the hour. Lajitas Golf Resort also offers a special half-day ride that visits some of the best scenery in the Lajitas Mountains and includes a picnic lunch out in the desert. Lajitas Golf Course can take care of as many details as couples desire in order to make their day special. They offer a variety of specialized venues to help bring the day together.

The Lajitas Chapel is a small church with a Native American feel. Built with adobe walls and Saltillo tile with hand-painted art, it promises a quaint service with real style.

The Calvary Post Fireplace is created entirely from stone. Four stacked-stone pillars that support a timber roof surround a large central fireplace. Nearby is a courtyard with a vine covered gazebo for additional options. The backdrop of the location is truly beautiful with the Lajitas Mesa rising in the distance.

For couples looking for an outdoor desert wedding, the Stargazer Mesa is perfect. Surrounded by the Chisos Mountains, the mesa features a central, large fire pit with a stone wall. Tree stump seats and wooden canopies are arranged around thi pit.

The Ocotilio is an impressive building made from local stone that beautifully suits the surrounding landscape. The main building features a large bar for entertaining guests, and the third level is an observatory for looking out on the nearby Rio Grande River and Mexico.
