Review:

One of six national forests in Mississippi, the Holly Springs National Forest is a wonderful place for outdoor recreation both on and off the water.

Much of the forest consists of pine and hardwood trees, but its true treasures are its many sparkling lakes, which offer peaceful swimming beaches and plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming.

There are also several hiking trails for visitors to enjoy, including an unpaved 1.5-mile interpretive trail that leads around the beautiful Puskas Lake and a more challenging 4-mile trail that goes around Chewalla Lake and into the hills.
