Review:

Named in honor of the Chickasaw indigenous people who originally inhabited the area, Chickasaw State Park encompasses more than 1,400 acres of land in western Tennessee and is one of the best things to do in Tennessee. There are more than four miles of hiking trails for visitors to enjoy, but if you'd rather explore the terrain on horseback, horses can be rented from the park stables.

Horses are not permitted on the park's paved roads, but there is an hour-long guided riding trail perfect for riders of all levels. Another popular romantic weekend getaway activity is paddling around on Lake Placid, and rowboats are available for rent if needed.
