Ebey Waterfront Park is a lovely downtown waterfront natural area opened to the public in 2005, after over a half-century of development and planning by city leaders. The development, which is intended to draw regional citizens and tourists to the city's downtown district, provides direct access to beautiful Port Gardner Bay and the Snohomish River Delta for anglers and pleasure boaters, offering four-lane public boat access and a short-stay moorage float.

A public fishing area is also offered at a full-service fish plaza, along with wash-down boat stations. Walking trails include the two-mile Qwuloolt Estuary Trail, which meanders through a gorgeous wetland restoration area. A children's playground is also offered, along with day-use picnic tables and public restrooms.
