Cabela's is the world's top outfitter of sporting, hunting, and fishing gear, originally opened in Chappell, Nebraska in 1961 by Dick Cabela as an extension of his father's furniture store. Today, the chain is operated as a subsidiary of the Bass Pro Shops franchise, operating more than 80 locations throughout the United States and shipping mail-order catalog items to more than 120 countries.
A Marysville location is located within lovely Quil Ceda Village along the edge of the Tulalip Tribes Indian Reservation, approximately half an hour north of Seattle's downtown district. 11,000 square feet of retail space showcases museum-quality animal displays, a conservation mountain, and spacious aquariums stocked with local marine life. Visitors can search for sales at the store's Bargain Cave or enjoy hearty wild game entrees at the adjacent Eagle's Nest Cafe.
