Review & Frequenly Asked Questions:

Known as the portal to the Dungeness Spit, the Dungeness Recreation Area is a national wildlife refuge that will allow you to discover all of the natural beauty the area has to offer.

Residents and visitors head to the recreation area for a great outdoor adventure unlike any other; for example, you can pack a picnic to enjoy on the bluff as you take in views of Mt. Baker or the shipping lines that make their way across the waters. The 216-acre park has several facilities for the entire family to utilize, such as walking and horseback riding trails, a one-mile-long scenic bluff trail, and a sheltered group picnic area. Plan accordingly and spend a night or three in their year-round campground which has 66 premium campsites, many of which offer a stunning view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
