Downtown Park is a popular meeting place for the local community and an event space which regularly hosts cultural programs, concerts and sporting activities. Downtown Park covers 2 acres and encompasses a large lawn area with a seating deck, the Buoyant Water Pavilion where shows and performances are held, a fun Splash Pad for children and loads of space where you can relax and watch the world go by. Although the hundreds of trees still have a way to go, they will eventually provide a beautiful shady canopy covering more than half the park. Other park amenities include restrooms and a drinking fountain.
