The family behind Hogue Cellars has a long history of farming; Hogue Cellars began hop farming in 1944 and soon expanded to include a number of crops on over 1,700 acres. His sons then went into growing Riesling grapes, which they sold to other wineries before they started concocting their very own wine. Since 1982, Hogue Cellars has been producing a number of delicious wines using the technique and experience they’ve gained over the years. Their winery and tasting room is a marvel to see, especially knowing that they now have a production capacity of 400,000 cases. No matter how much they’ve expanded, their wines are consistent and continue to be of the highest quality so be sure to stop by the next time you’re in Prosser.
