The Nutty Narrows Bridge is located near Civic Center circle and crosses Olympia Way. Also known as the Squirrel Bridge, the structure has become a bit of a landmark for the local area after attracting international attention. This unique bridge was constructed by Amos Peters, a local builder, in the year 1963 to provide a way for squirrels to cross the busy road without the threat of being killed by the passing vehicles. It was restored in 1983. During the holiday season, the city places a small lighted Christmas tree in the center of Nutty Narrows Bridge.
