The Mukilteo Lighthouse Park was created in the 1950s on a filled tideland in order to provide easy access to the beautiful sandy public beach.
- It started its life as Washington State Park until 2003 when it was deeded to the city.
- The park’s main feature is the historic Mukilteo Light Station, which is available for touring and various events.
- The Mukilteo Light Station was built in 1906 and is one of the only few wooden lighthouses in the Pacific Northwest.
- The park around the lighthouse has open green space with picnic areas, fire pits, a boat launch, kids’ playgrounds, and the lovely sandy beach.
