Early Mountain Winery takes great pride in its tasting room, vineyard, and overall guest experience. Tucked into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Early Mountain rests on land with deep history.
The very first person to own the property was none other than Revolutionary War veteran Lieutenant Joseph Early, recognized for serving under General George Washington at Valley Forge.
After Early’s death, George Washington reportedly visited the farm, remarking in his personal journal about the warmth and hospitality he received from Early’s family, a tradition that continues to be extended to all their guests to this day.
