Founded in 2010 by John Washburn, a local farm owner in Virginia, and Brian Shanks, an award-winning New Zealand cider maker, Bold Rock has been producing cider in the Blue Ridge Mountains for many years. Bold Rock features an extensive tap room where customers can try all the varieties of cider produced onsite, hosts many events throughout the year, and is always happy to answer any questions about cider production that guests may have.
