The Mimslyn Inn is a one-of-a-kind place that has so much history and beauty. Prior to the construction of the inn, the land was used as an Army encampment and hospital during the Civil War. In 1931 the Mims family opened the inn with a 700-guests dinner and dancing “housewarming” that displayed its luxury. Now, over 80 years later, the Asam family continues to operate the inn and wow guests with its multi-million-dollar restoration that retains the elegance the grand Virginia estate had in its initial days. Guests can choose to stay in one of the 45 historic rooms complete with cozy bed and linens, a full bath, tasteful furnishings, and amenities that are guaranteed to offer comfort.
